Upcoming Events

The St. Mark 2017 festival is only 40 days from this weekend.

Our festival will be held on June 8, 9, and 10. As with every year in the past, this event does not just happen, but requires the effort of many, many people. How can you help to ensure that our festival is successful again this year? Well, let us count the ways:

1. There are still several openings for booth chairs. In years past, we have included in our festival booths called, Coin Toss, Take-a-Chance and Youth Games. So far we do not have any individual/individuals to chair these booths. Without a booth chair, these games will not be part of our festival this year. Please consider volunteering as a booth chair. Contact festival chair Jim O’Brien at 317-696-1436 or at

2. The weekends of May 13-14 and May 20-21 will be for volunteer sign-ups. It will take many volunteers to man the booths that will make up our festival. Please volunteer for one or more shifts in one of the festival booths.

3. The festival is looking for donations of soft drinks, beer, wine, and serving products. Look for a donation form in the narthex, beginning today,

4. One of our main fund raising booths is the main raffle. A packet of raffle tickets will be in the narthex in the weeks ahead. Please pick up your packet and
participate in the main raffle.

A big thank you for your help.

This weekend is the final week of after mass sign ups.  Beginning Monday, May22nd, on-line appointments can be made online HERE.
Photographs will be taken on the campus on June 14th-17th, June 21st-24th and July 12-15th.
Volunteer hostesses are needed (2 per shift) from 2:15 - 5:45 and 5:30 - 9pm on weekdays and 9:45 - 12:30 and 12:15 - 4:pm.  This is a great opportunity to meet some of your fellow parishioners at St. Mark.
If there are any questions feel free to call Ann Berkemeier 317-787-2058 or

Prayer for a new Archbishop

Because Cardinal Tobin has now been installed as the Archbishop of Newark, we are in a time of prayer and anticipation of the appointment of our next ordinary. As we give thanks for his faith service, we also pray for the appointment of our next ordinary, At the request of Msgr. Stumpf, the Archdiocesan Administrator, all the faithful are encouraged to offer prayers that God may bless us soon with anew archbishop for the Church in Central and Southern Indiana.

O God, you are our eternal shepherd and guide. In your mercy, grant to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis a shepherd who will walk in your ways and whose watchful care will bring us your blessing. In your love for us, give us the joy of receiving an archbishop who will be an example of goodness to your people and who will fill our hearts and minds with the truth of the Gospel.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. AMEN.

Connected In The Spirit

The Connected in the Spirit  planning process that the parishes of the four Indianapolis deaneries have recently completed calls on each parish to determine the number of Masses that are truly needed in each parish to meet the needs of the parish community.  We are privileged to host four Masses each weekend at St. Mark. Our parish church comfortably seats 500 people.   In a community of 1100 households each of our Masses should be filled.  May we reflect on our priorities and make sure that Sunday Mass is given the importance and the place it deserves in our lives.  May we never become ‘unglued!”

See you at Mass!
